My father will kill me for this next comment, but it must be said: after Saturday night, I think I'm going to become a French Revolutionary. Les Mis was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Thank you thank you thank you to Samuel for taking me with you! Guys, for real-- this musical is amazing. I was on the edge of my seat the entire first act. I cried again and again.

I thought Samuel was a little bit nutty as the night began. He kept trying to warn me, telling me over and over again that he is "passionate" about this story. I didn't understand him then, but now I join him in this passion. I am passionate about Les Miserables. I love Les Mis. I want to watch it over and over, sing all the words to all the songs, cry and clap, and then do it all over again. See Les Mis, love Les Mis, be passionate about Les Mis.

So I was already beginning my new cult before I saw this musical. It was the Blue Like Jazz- Keane cult. It was going to be great. Blue Like Jazz is an amazing book, and I've been forcing all my friends to read it. I say forcing-- but once they begin, they can't put it down, and when they finish they come to me to tell me how right I was. I am right about this-- trust me. Donald Miller does an incredible job of putting so many of my own thought and feelings into words- and then making them clever, funny, and insightful. He will also make you think. READ THIS BOOK READ THIS BOOK READ THIS BOOK.

Keane is a band I already mentioned on the blog, and the same holds true for them. If you hear them- you will love them. Any Coldplay fans will be Keane fans. Something happens to me when I listen to their album 'Hopes and Fears' and I become simultaneously peaceful and emotional (and that's emotional in a completely non-girly way, I just couldn't use the word passionate again). I keep making friends listen to Keane- and now they are in love. So- this cult-- this cult was going to be the Blue Like Jazz- Keane cult up until Saturday night. But NOW, it is the Blue Like Jazz- Keane- Les Mis Cult, and you all must join. I am truly passionate about these three things, and you should be too. No, you don't get an opinion of your own-- you will love them and obey my every command...
